Fun in Austin

Who would have thought watching 1.5 million bats fly out from under a bridge would be a fun thing to do? Well, we did, and it didn't let us down. I wish we could have gotten better pictures, but it was dark. They flew out and this black river started to flow through the Texas sky line, just amazing!

WE LOVE AUSTIN!!!

The Architect's House, Austin, TX

Adam and I went to Austin, TX, from May 12th through the 16th. After driving for 3 days, we were so glad to get to the Architect's house in downtown Austin, TX. It is an all green modern construction. We happen to stumble across this place about a month ago while looking at things to do in Austin. It spoke to us. Adam and I love all things modern and green so excitement is an understatement when we found out that the guest house was available for the time period that we wanted to visit. Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures of the outside of the place, so I have attached the web page, and I highly encourage you to check it out. We spoke directly to the architect and really fell in love with the house and her modern vision. www.thearchitectshouse.com

Ada plays in the rain at Grandpa Martin's house

Adam and I went to Austin, TX, last week and Ada got to spend the whole week at Grandpa and Grandma Martin's house. While she was there, other than getting spoiled rotten, Grandpa let her play in the rain. As you can see, she had lots and lots of fun but came in once it started to thunder. If you look closely, Grandpa was in the garage staying dry while taking the pictures.
